Logicon Caries Detector is a software program that helps analyze bitewing xrays for signs of early decay between the teeth. It analyzes image density and maps the location of the decay. It is extrememly useful in detectrng early decay and implementing non filling treatments to remineralize these lesions. It also helps distinguish between true cavities and artifacts. Logicon can also monitor the progression of "watch" cavities over months and years.
